We 'strolled' today -
enjoying all the sights on our way into town.
Well, most of them anyway!
wth?
We stopped at Lavacolla to participate in the ancient 'ritual cleansing' in the river
before entering the city -
Anne even washed her shoes -
you know what sticklers nuns can be about cleanliness -
next to Godliness, right?
We stayed in the outskirts of town when we stopped in the afternoon -
preferring to save the Cathedral, the center of old town
and all the pilgrimage 'hoopla' for the morning.
While we didn't yet have a piece of paper to prove it-
WE HAD DONE IT!
The last 3K into Cathedral Square and the Pilgrimage office were mere formalities.
